Authorities Probing Teen's Suicide Eye Online Link Apr 2nd 2012, 19:45 A New Jersey youth who killed himself last week may be the latest tragic case of cyberbullying driving a kid over the edge, according to local prosecutors. Lennon Baldwin, 15, a freshman at Morristown High School, was found hanged in his family's home last Wednesday. Classmates, friends, and even his obituary claim that the teen was harassed, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. "What Lennon really wanted was to be loved, respected and accepted by his peers. Now Lennon is finally at peace," the family wrote in the obituary, which appeared in the newspaper on Saturday. The teen was buried today. Morris County prosecutor Robert Bianchi told the Star-Ledger on Friday that all aspects of the youngster's death, "inclusive of bullying," will be investigated. The computer crimes unit of the prosecutor's office will be conducting the investigation along with the local police departments of Morristown and Morris Township. It's not clear what kind of bullying Baldwin endured. "From what I hear, he was being bullied by three people and they robbed him and jumped him and took everything," Morristown High School student Shannon Ayers told CBS2 New York. Baldwin was described as a happy-go-lucky kid who enjoyed playing guitar and was a championship bowler at a local youth league. Family and friends will be gathering Monday for Baldwin's funeral. A public memorial was held at a local church followed by a candle light memorial. It could be the second high-profile case to come out of New Jersey involving a young student who committed suicide after being bullied. Rutgers student Tyler Clementi took his own life by jumping off the George Washington Bridge after his roommate Dharun Ravi secretly set up a webcam in their room and broadcast Clementi and another man in an intimate moment. Ravi was convicted in a Middlesex County court last month for invasion of privacy and bias intimidation. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
