STRANGE COINCIDENCE? Bartender's Disappearance Eerily Similar to 2000 Case
Jan 31st 2013, 00:02

The boyfriend of a New Jersey woman last seen leaving an area bar once had a roommate who also disappeared after leaving the same bar, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Sarah Majoras, 39, was last seen at 2 a.m. Saturday crossing the Delaware River on a bridge that links the communities of New Hope, Pa., where Majoras works as a bartender, and Lambertville, N.J., where she lives.

Investigators say security footage shows Majoras made it across the bridge above the Delaware River at about 2:30 a.m., according to local media reports. She is reportedly seen on video entering Lambertville and walking down Lambert Lane.

The investigation has drawn attention to an eerily similar case from 2000. Musician David Anderson disappeared after leaving John and Peter's Bar in New Hope and heading to the home he shared with roommate Adam Baker, who is Majoras' boyfriend, according to the Inquirer. Authorities reportedly found Anderson's body in a nearby canal three days later.

On Wednesday, searchers found a boot believed to have belonged to Majoras in a canal near the river, according to NBC Philadelphia. Hunterdon County prosecutor Anthony Kearns said investigators are also searching for her on land, while helicopters are searching from the air. He also said K-9 search teams are involved.

Investigators say they are "leaving no stone unturned," according to a representative from the Hunterdon (N.J.) County Prosecutor's Office. Majoras was reported missing after Baker said she failed to return home to the apartment the couple shared.

A Facebook page called "Find Sarah Majoras" was started by volunteers as an aid to help with search efforts. Authorities say the woman is well-liked in her community and at John and Peter's Bar in New Hope, where she works.

Majoras is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, has blue eyes and blond hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, brown leather boots, a white hat and a camouflage jacket.

Anyone with information on Majoras' disappearance is being urged to call the Lambertville Police Department at (609) 397-3132.
