'WE JUST DID IT': Teens Lift 3,000-Pound Tractor, Save Trapped Dad Apr 11th 2013, 07:48 Published April 11, 2013 FoxNews.com April 9, 2013: Haylee and Hannah Smith are being credited with saving their father after a tractor flipped over onto him.kptv April 9, 2013: Jeff Smith was pinned by his tractor over the weekend.kptv April 9, 2013: Two teens may have saved their father's life when they lifted a 3,000-pound tractor off his chest.kptv Next Slide Previous Slide Two Oregon teenagers are being credited with saving their father's life after they lifted a 3,000-pound tractor off of him over the weekend.  Jeff Smith tells KPTV he was working on pulling a stump out of the ground with his tractor  when the machine flipped over, pinning him to the ground. "The steering wheel and the steering column is what had me pinned on my chest," Smith told the station. Smith called out for his two daughters, 14-year-old Haylee and 16-year-old Hannah, who immediately rushed to his aid.  "I can't dig fast enough and I'm freaking out," Haylee told KPTV. "I just cannot dig fast enough." The girls say they called 911, but decided they couldn't wait for emergency crews. They each grabbed a side of the tractor and started lifting, finally making headway around the seventh try. "We just kind of braced ourselves on the tire and just lifted it up," Hannah said. The girls were able to lift the tractor enough so Smith could wiggle out, but his arm remained pinned. A neighbor finished the job by using his own tractor and its shovel to lift the Smith's tractor and allow Smith to get his arm out. Smith was treated for a broken left wrist and other injuries. "I don't know how I lifted it, it was just so heavy," Hannah said. "And I could feel it, I could just feel all the weight. But we just did it. We both did."
