Police are asking the public for any information regarding a missing 12-year-old who was last seen Thursday morning at her Texas school.
Adrienne Solorzano was last seen leaving her portable classroom at Bradenburg Middle School in Garland, Texas to meet her father and a teacher to discuss recent grades in the main school building, MyFoxDFW.com reports.
Police say Solorzano never made it to the building and surveillance cameras at the school's entrances and exits do not show her.
Police have said the investigation is not "the typical runaway case," CBS DFW reports.
The middle school student does not have a cell phone, and is not active on social media. Her family says she has never run away from home before. Friends returning to school Friday did not report hearing from her.
Garland police officer Joe Harn told MyFoxPhoenix.com that there is "something just not right," about this case.
Police have not issued an Amber Alert because a witness did not report Solorzano's kidnapping.
The school sent a letter home to parents Friday explaining the situation and encouraging parents to talk to students, MyFoxDFW.com reported.
"The safety of students and staff at Bradenburg is paramount," the letter said.
"Please help us reinforce this message. Talk to your child this evening about the importance of sharing any action they may experience or witness that impacts the security of our campus."
