A North Dakota woman called into isn't handing out treats to everyone this Halloween. Instead she says she'll be handing out letters to children who are overweight.
The woman says that if she sees a child who is moderately obese, she'll hand them a letter to give their parents. She also says that she wants to send a message to parents that they're being irresponsible for sending their kids out looking for free candy just because all the other kids are doing it.
The letter reads, in part:
You [sic] child is, in my opinion, moderately obese and should not be consuming sugar and treats to the extent of some children this Halloween season.
My hope is that you will step up as a parent and ration candy this Halloween and not allow your child to continue these unhealthy eating habits.
The woman feels it takes an entire community to solve the obesity epidemic.
