2 dead in shooting near Calif. New Year's gathering Jan 1st 2013, 09:01 Published January 01, 2013 FoxNews.com Sacramento authorities say two people were killed and three injured in a shooting near where crowds had gathered to watch New Year's Eve fireworks.  Authorities have not said whether a suspect is in custody. Investigators tell KTXL the shooting appears to have stemmed from a fight inside a bar in Old Sacramento, which then spilled onto the street.  A woman claiming to have witnessed the shooting told KTXL she saw a man standing over a person on the ground and firing at least 10 rounds into the victim.  The area's midnight fireworks celebration has been canceled, and the area is on lockdown as police investigate.
