A report on a prominent news website says Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly is poised to move into a key slot in the cable news network's prime time lineup.
The DrudgeReport.com report says Kelly, currently on maternity leave, will return to host the 9 p.m. ET slot. However, a Fox News spokesperson said no official announcement will be made at this time.
"We will neither confirm nor deny any programming schedule changes. As previously stated, the network has signed long-term deals with Megyn Kelly, Bret Baier, Shepard Smith, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren."
In July, Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes announced that Kelly would move to a prime time slot upon her return from maternity leave.
She recently gave birth to her third child, a baby boy named Thatcher Bray Brunt.
Kelly joined Fox News in 2004 and has anchored "America Live" since February 2010. She also appears weekly on "The O'Reilly Factor" in a segment titled "The Kelly File."
