Several people suffered minor injuries Monday after a Southwest Airlines flight arriving into New York's LaGuardia Airport from Nashville experienced a rough landing due to a possible issue with its nosegear.
The FAA said in a statement that Southwest Airlines Flight 345 reported possible front landing gear issues before its arrival and its nosegear collapsed upon landing.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says they have "several" accounts of people reporting physical injuries. The extent of the injuries was not immediately known. Officials say four people suffered anxiety attacks.
The Port Authority has temporarily closed the airport.
